Ugg Boots Cleaning

There are a couple of things to keep in mind before attempting to clean your ugg boots. Your Whooga ugg boots are made from natural merino sheepskin leather. While they are very durable, you need to be mindful of stretching and staining that can occur with certain chemicals. When the leather becomes wet it will be very easy for your uggs to stretch and loose shape. With this in mind, we suggest using slightly warm water to clean your boots. After you’ve followed the directions below, the sheepskin will most likely shrink a little, after a few days of normal wear they will stretch back once again.

How to Clean Ugg Boots

Gently wipe your ugg boots with a damp cloth or sponge. If your uggs are extremely dirty or marked then gently scrub the stained area with a soft brush, otherwise skip this step. Fill your boots with paper towel; the boots should be full but not stretched. Leave your boots to dry for at least 24 hours. The boots should not be placed in direct sunlight or near a heat source. If the boots are heated too quickly the sheepskin will shrink. Finally you should brush your ugg with a lint free brush. Once again your uggs may have shrunk a little, just allow a few days for the boots to stretch to your feet once again.

Keeping them clean

While uggs are extremely warm during winter, they are best kept inside away from snow or at least warn only in dry conditions. When sheepskin is wet it becomes easily stained and will stretch. Merino sheepskin is extremely durable and if kept dry will last many years.
